Here are ten quick tips and tricks that I have found very handy. It would be great if everybody could add more to this list as there are heaps out there. I will start with my favorite first;

1. Spelling Mistakes – If you press and hold your finger over the word that holds the error a magnifying glass will appear which allows you to move the cursor through the word. Put the cursor where you need it and make necessary change.

2. At the end of the word if you double tap the space bar it will put in a full stop automatically for you.

3. When in Safari and scrolling through documents if you want to return to the top of the document quickly tap the time and it will take you straight back to the top.

4. When in your emails in the inbox if you slide your finger from left to right it will allow you to delete the email without having to open it.

5. If you need to add something from the number keyboard press and hold the number keyboard option and slide your finger to the number/symbol you want and release. It will add the number/symbol and it will return you back to the QWERTY keyboard.

6. In Safari or email if you hold your finger on a link it will show you the URL that link will take you to.

7. The calculator app that comes with the iPod Touch, if you open this up and rotate 90 degrees either way it will change to a scientific calculator.

8. When browsing Safari if you hold the iPod touch horizontally it will display more information on the screen and also displays a bigger keyboard to type on.

9. If you want to delete an app press and hold the app that you want to remove the screen will start to shake. All of the apps will now have a x in the top left corner of them. Press the app that you want to delete and it will then bring up a confirmation option to delete or not.

10. If your iPod touch/phone freezes, to fix this first try turning it off by pressing and holding the power button until the slide to power off comes up, then slide to power off. If this does not work press and hold the power button for three seconds and then press and hold the home button. Keep holding both buttons until the iPod touch/phone completely shuts down. Now press the power button and your iPod will restart.
